The art work in the photograph above is from Gregory Siff‘s Los Angeles opening in June 2016, Portrait of An American Ice Cream Man. The piece titled: The Periodic Table Of You represents his take on a personal/visual structure of the periodic table of elements (a portion of that is featured below.) This work inspired me to question the space we occupy and our capacity for human fallibility. These pieces of art are helpful in questioning the unthought known, the actual chemistry between people and our experience as humans. A new set of poems are forthcoming with this concept in mind.
